Day 01: Arrival at the airport of Porto and transfer to our accommodation, an excellent 4-star hotel next to the River Duero. We will walk around the local area, known as ‘A Ribeira’. We will cross the river to taste the famous port wine at one of the wineries. Finally, we will enjoy a dinner of Portuguese specialities with a beautiful panoramic view of Porto.

Day 02: We sail upstream along the River Duero until we reach a landscape of vineyards, river and the architecture of Las Quintas. We will go to a winery and taste a ‘Douro’ wine, follow a hiking route and then walk around vineyards to enjoy beautiful views of the river. Finally, we make our way back to Porto by train or coach, depending on the time of the year.

Day 03: A local guide will show us other places in Porto we have not seen, such as the Clérigos Tower and Sé, before setting off for Guimaraes, which, like Porto, has been designated a World Heritage Site. We will wander around the historical centre and visit the pre-Roman village of ‘Citania de Briteiros’. We will travel to the rock town of Braga and visit its shrine. We will have time to wonder around the streets of this beautiful town.

Day 04: Today, we travel to Ponte de Lima, the oldest town in Portugal, and Viana do Castelo, both situated on the banks of the River Lima. We will travel north, very close to the coast, and visit the towns and villages on the a do Minho; here, we will visit the fortress and enjoy beautiful views of the River Miño, which marks the >

Day 05: After breakfast, we travel to the airport of Porto and that marks the end of our services.
