DAY BY DAY

WALKING

  • Day 01: From Ponteceso to Laxe, 3 hours. You will walk alongside an impressive Monte Blanco, next to the estuary. You will climb a route dotted with mills up to pre-Roman hill forts and megalithic monuments.

  • Day 02: From Laxe to Arou, 3 hours. The local protagonists are the area’s beaches with their fine, white sand. Soesto and Traba are two of the best examples. You will also see countryside dominated by rocks and beautiful winding paths.

  • Day 03: From Arou to Camariñas 4 hours. A steep climb takes you to a natural vantage point where the ocean unleashes its strength and combines with the rocks to form a dramatic scene. You will walk to Camariñas along a path watched over by the solemn Cape Vilán.

  • Days 4 and 5: Walking around the ‘end of the world’ 2-4 hours. You will stay at Finisterre, a short distance from the port. Today, you will walk up to the imposing Cape Finisterre along inland paths and long areas of sand. You will also discover the village and its cultural heritage. You can also enjoy this gastronomical paradise with the very best in fish and seafood.

  • Day 6: End of journey. We recommend visiting the city of Santiago or extending your stay on A Costa da Morte.

CYCLING

  • You can cycle 150 km along A Costa da Morte, enjoying paths that run next to the sea or move inland along quiet roads. This interesting route can be extended 100 km up to Santiago de Compostela, following the Way of St James. In both cases, we offer you our bicycles and on-route service.
